Why do we need to submit proof of progress during the school year for my homeschooled child? Do public/private schooled students students need to provide proof of progress between September 15th and October 15th? My son is homeschooled in the state of Virginia. The only proof of progress required for the state of Virginia is that A) end of year testing or B) private evaluation at the end of the year. Requesting proof of progress during the school year for a homeschooled child but not a private or public schooled child is discriminatory. It also states on your form that you abide by each state's laws concerning homeschooling. If that is the case, then I should not need to turn in any proof of progress for my child during the school year. And just so you know, you have at least one grammatical error and at least one spelling error on your form. "We abide by each STATE'S laws concerning HOMESCHOOLING". You may want to correct these errors.
